Tareeeq is a voice-first in-car companion. Because our product listens, we hold ourselves to a higher privacy standard than most apps. This page explains what we collect, what we never keep, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).
Tareeeq is operated from the United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@tareeeq.co.
Form submissions are delivered to us by Web3Forms, a form-processing service, and arrive as email. We use this information only to respond to you and to plan our beta batches. It is never sold or shared for marketing.
Your voice is processed in real time for two purposes: understanding what you said, and sensing stress in how you said it. Raw audio is not stored. Once processed, the recording is discarded. We do not build voice profiles and we do not use your voice to train models.
Every permission the app uses is requested once, during setup, while you are parked. This includes microphone, location, notification access (used to detect an active Google Maps navigation), and access to Google services you explicitly connect, such as Gmail and Calendar. Email drafts are prepared for you and are never sent without your action.
Your employer sees group totals only: total sessions, average stress reduction, and completion rates. Your employer never sees your name, your individual stress scores, your session content, or whether you personally use Tareeeq. This separation is enforced at the database level, not by policy alone.
Data is stored in regions selected for proximity and regulatory alignment with the UAE. Session records are retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems; aggregate statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw a consent you have given. Write to hello@tareeeq.co and we will act on your request without unnecessary delay, in line with the PDPL.
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will note the change here and, for material changes, tell you directly before they take effect.
