Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026 · Draft pending legal review

Tareeeq is a voice-first in-car companion. Because our product listens, we hold ourselves to a higher privacy standard than most apps. This page explains what we collect, what we never keep, and the choices you have. It is written to align with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

1. Who we are

Tareeeq is operated from the United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question or request, contact us at hello@tareeeq.co.

2. What we collect on this website

  • Company enquiries: company name, your name, work email, organisation type, employee count, whether you offer wellness benefits, and your preferred way to connect.
  • Waitlist signups: your name, email, phone number (optional), commute route, commute frequency, what you do during your commute, a self-reported stress level, and your smartphone type.

Form submissions are delivered to us by Web3Forms, a form-processing service, and arrive as email. We use this information only to respond to you and to plan our beta batches. It is never sold or shared for marketing.

3. What we collect inside the product

  • Your profile: first name, work and home destination labels, and your arrival intention. Destinations are stored as labels you choose, not as tracked coordinates.
  • Session records: when a drive happened, which features were used, and how your stress shifted across the drive.
  • Memory: if you turn memory on, Noura keeps short notes between drives (an open task, a preference). Memory is off by default, visible to you, and deletable per item or in full.

4. Your voice

Your voice is processed in real time for two purposes: understanding what you said, and sensing stress in how you said it. Raw audio is not stored. Once processed, the recording is discarded. We do not build voice profiles and we do not use your voice to train models.

5. Permissions

Every permission the app uses is requested once, during setup, while you are parked. This includes microphone, location, notification access (used to detect an active Google Maps navigation), and access to Google services you explicitly connect, such as Gmail and Calendar. Email drafts are prepared for you and are never sent without your action.

6. If your company invited you

Your employer sees group totals only: total sessions, average stress reduction, and completion rates. Your employer never sees your name, your individual stress scores, your session content, or whether you personally use Tareeeq. This separation is enforced at the database level, not by policy alone.

7. Third parties we rely on

  • Voice platform: conversation processing runs on ElevenLabs infrastructure.
  • Voice stress analysis: a specialised audio analysis provider processes the stress signal. Emotion data is processed for the signal and not retained as raw audio.
  • Google services: Maps, Gmail, and Calendar access happens through your own Google account, under Google's OAuth consent, with scopes you approve.
  • Data storage: our database is hosted on Supabase with row-level security.
  • Email and forms: Resend delivers our transactional emails; Web3Forms processes website form submissions.

8. Data residency and retention

Data is stored in regions selected for proximity and regulatory alignment with the UAE. Session records are retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed from our systems; aggregate statistics that cannot identify you may be retained.

9. Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete your data, or to withdraw a consent you have given. Write to hello@tareeeq.co and we will act on your request without unnecessary delay, in line with the PDPL.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will note the change here and, for material changes, tell you directly before they take effect.
